Miuccia Prada and The Great Gatsby

I have been anticipating the release of Baz Lluhrmann's adaptation of The Great Gatsby for over a year now. I'm sure many of us read the novel at some point during high school or have seen the 1974 film.

Having worked together before on films such as Romeo + Juliet, it seems fitting that Llurhmann should call on Miuccia Prada to oversee work on the costumes for the film. Working with costume designer Catherine Martin, Miuccia has developed stunning pieces, perfect for the 1922 setting. I must say I am almost as excited for the costume and set design than the film itself.

Here are four of the sketches that have been released so far.
